Remarks :
We discovered Eutropis dattaroyi from Great Nicobar Island, India. This species is restricted to the island.

Etymology:
The specific epithet is an eponym latinised as a noun in the genitive singular, honouring Dr. Aniruddha Datta-Roy for his remarkable contributions to the field of herpetology, especially on skinks (Reptilia: Scincidae) of the Indian subcontinent. Aniruddha Datta-Roy is an Indian herpetologist, and the sectional editor for skinks of the journal Zootaxa.
