Etymology:
The specific epithet anantambanii is a noun in the genitive singular, honouring Anant Ambani, an Indian businessman and animal-welfare advocate, in recognition of his unwavering passion and extraordinary dedication to the care, rescue, and rehabilitation of wildlife across the globe. Through the visionary initiative Vantara, he has created a sanctuary of hope and healing—a place where injured, abandoned, and endangered animals find refuge and a renewed chance at life. The name is formed from the combined name “Anant Ambani”, adding the masculine genitive suffix -i.
